Satan’s counterfeit revival precedes the true revival [the final loud cry] for the purpose of deceiving nominal Christians into believing that God is with them and blessing them. Thus, they will be lulled to sleep in a false security. EW 56, 45, 261; 5T 451; GC 464, 588, 589, 615.

THE COUNTERFEIT REVIVAL

SATAN WILL PERSONATE CHRIST IN DIFFERENT PLACE IN THE WORLD AND AT DIFFERENT TIMES BEFORE THE CLOSE OF PROBATION. [See Note 15]

This is his “crowning act.” GC 624. This is “his masterpiece of deception.” GC 561. This is the strong, almost overmastering delusion.” GC 624.

  • Satan claims to be Christ himself. He performs many mighty miracles. He heals the sick.
  • A great religious excitement is raised.
  • Then in a soft, melodious voice, he blesses the widow and orphans.
  • He then warns Sunday-keepers that they are suffering under the curse of God because they are not keeping Sunday better.
  • He declares, “Yes, I DID change the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday.” GC 624
  • Then follows more severe Sunday laws, penalties and persecutions. GC 607; TM 62“
  • And he will continue these wonders until the close of probation, that he may point to them as evidence that he is an angles of light and not a darkness.” 7BC 911; 2SM 51.
  • “… A Sunday law, Protestantism will in this act join hands with popery” [the papacy], 5T 712.
  • “This is the image to the beast.” Rev. 13:14-16;GC 445; FCD 4; [See Note 14]
  • “This is the complete fall of Babylon in the U. S.” Rev. 14:8; 18:1-4
  • This is “the three-fold union.” Of [1] “The Dragon” [ paganism and spiritism], [2] “The beast”, [the papacy], and [3] “The false prophet,” [apostate Protestantism]. Rev. 16:13, 14; 19:20; 5T 451; GC 588, 589; [See Notes 16 & 17]

  “Satan has entire control of the finally impenitent.” GC 614; EW 280. Satan leads in a great counterfeit religious revival. GC 615.

 “Satan will then plunge the inhabitants of earth into one great final trouble.” GC 614; 7BC 781; 6T 408; 5T 451.

“The same destructive  power exercised by holy angels when God command, will be exercised by evil angles when He permits. There are forces now ready and only waiting the divine permission to spread desolation everywhere.” GC 614. [See also GC 623].

 Satan causes [1] intemperance, [2] war, [3] disease, [4] disaster – populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation, [5] accidents, [6] tornadoes, [7] terrific hail storms, [8] tempest, [9] floods, [10] cyclones, [11] tidal waves, [12] earthquakes, [13] he sweeps away the ripening harvest, [14] famine, [15] distress, [16] pestilence. GC 589-591; 614, 277.

Under the sixth plague, Satan gathers the nations to the battle of Armageddon. Rev. 16:12-16.

Babylon falls more and more as nation after nation enacts a    national Sunday law.

Ultimately Babylon is completely fallen all over the world.
