Third Angel’s Message and Education
The third angel’s message, the great testing truth for this time, is to be taught in all our institutions. God designs that through them this special warning shall be given, and bright beams of light shall shine to the world. Time is short. The perils of the last days are upon us, and we should watch and pray, and study and heed the lessons that are given us in the books of Daniel and the Revelation. And the youth should know and understand these things. They should know the things that will come to pass before the closing up of the world’s history. These things concern our eternal welfare, and teachers and students should give more attention to them. 6T Pg. 128, 129
The Third Angel’s Message and Seventh-day Adventist Mission
Ellen White saw Revelation 14:6-12, with its description of the messages of the three angels, as standing at the very heart of Seventh-day Adventist identity. The third angel’s message (along with the first two) was not only to be global but to draw out and test human beings–creating “a people distinct and separate from the world, who refuse to worship the beast or his image, who bear God’s sign, keeping holy His Sabbath–the seventh day” (Evangelism, p. 233)
Write, Teach, Publish
Let all have more to teach, to write, and to publish in regard to those things that are now to be fulfilled, and that concern the eternal welfare of souls. Give meat in due season to the old and the young, to saints and to sinners. Let everything that can be said to awaken the church from its slumbers be brought forward without delay. Let no time be lost in dwelling on those things that are not essential, and that have no bearing upon the present necessities of the people….7T Pg. 157, 158
